Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming beautiful baby Hudson and his family into my Springfield Lakes studio for their newborn photography session. Travelling to Buttons & Bows Photography, Hudson's parents wanted a gallery that felt natural, intentional and timeless. Rather than elaborate props or themed setups, they wanted their images to tell the story of their growing family and celebrate the newest little member of it.

One of the things my families love most is that every session is carefully planned around their vision. Before Hudson's session, Mum completed a detailed questionnaire sharing exactly what she hoped these images would become.
She described wanting a natural, organic style with minimal props, soft sage green tones and photographs that focused on connection rather than elaborate styling. Her goal was simple.
To remember Hudson exactly as he was.

That is why every newborn session at Buttons & Bows Photography is completely baby led.
Sessions generally run between two and four hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling, cuddles and nappy changes without ever feeling rushed.
Creating a calm environment helps babies feel safe and comfortable while allowing parents to relax and simply enjoy watching these beautiful memories unfold.

When Should You Book Your Newborn Photography Session?
The ideal time to secure your newborn photography session is during your second trimester.
Rather than booking a fixed date, we reserve your session around your due date and then finalise everything once your baby arrives.
For sleepy posed newborn portraits, the ideal age is between five and fourteen days old.
However, beautiful newborn photographs can still be created for older babies, so if your little one has already arrived, don't hesitate to get in touch.
