A Precious New Beginning at Buttons & Bows Photography
There is something truly magical about the arrival of a newborn. It’s a time filled with love, wonder, and the beginning of a new chapter—one that deserves to be celebrated and cherished forever.
Recently, I had the honour of photographing baby Jiath Kai Phaltang, a sweet little boy born on December 15, 2024, at 3:15 PM, weighing a perfect 3,650g. His session took place at Buttons & Bows Photography in Springfield Lakes, where we specialise in newborn photography that captures the purest, most heartfelt moments of a baby’s first days.
Our studio is designed to be a warm, welcoming space for families, offering a relaxed environment where parents can sit back, enjoy the experience, and watch as we create timeless portraits of their little ones. We attract families from Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast who are looking for professional newborn photography that beautifully preserves these once-in-a-lifetime moments.

A Beautiful Colour Story for a Timeless Newborn Portrait
For Jiath’s newborn session, his family chose a stunning white, blue, and neutral colour palette. These tones complemented his soft features perfectly, adding a dreamy and elegant touch to his portraits. We incorporated some of our most-loved props, including baskets, beds, bowls, and wraps, carefully styling each setup to match the family’s vision.
At Buttons & Bows Photography, we take the time to personalise every newborn session, ensuring each family receives a gallery filled with heartfelt, artistic images that truly reflect their style. Jiath’s parents wanted a mix of natural, fun, and colourful imagery, and we worked together to bring their vision to life through carefully selected props, backdrops, and soft, neutral tones.

Sibling Love and Cherished Family Moments
One of the most special aspects of Jiath’s session was capturing the love between him and his three big sisters. Sibling and family portraits are such an important part of our newborn sessions, allowing families to freeze these fleeting moments before their little one grows. The bond between Jiath and his sisters was beautiful to witness, from gentle cuddles to tiny kisses that spoke volumes about their love for their new baby brother.
When families come to Buttons & Bows Photography, they’re not just booking a newborn session—they’re investing in memories that will be cherished for generations. Many of our clients choose wall art, framed prints, and heirloom albums to proudly display their family’s journey, ensuring these moments remain tangible, not just stored away on a screen

A Personalised Experience for Every Family
At Buttons & Bows Photography, we understand that every family’s story is unique, which is why we tailor each session to fit your preferences. Jiath’s parents shared their vision with us, from the poses they loved—chin-on-hands, bump-up, and wrapped poses—to the meaningful details they wanted to highlight. Their trust in us allowed us to create a session that was relaxed, stress-free, and filled with joy.
As a mother myself, I know how important it is to capture these first moments, and I feel truly honoured every time a family chooses me to document this special time in their lives. If you’re looking for a professional newborn photographer in Springfield Lakes, Brisbane, or the surrounding areas, I’d love to welcome you to our studio and create something beautiful for your family.
