Choosing the right newborn photographer is an important decision, you want someone who will capture beautiful and safe images of your precious new arrival. Here are some key factors to consider when choosing your newborn photographer:
Safety: Safety should always be the top priority when it comes to newborn photography. I have over a decade of experience with handling newborns and young children. I am also fully vaccinated, have trained in infant First- Aid and CPR and have a current blue card. I am fuklly certified in posing newborns safely, through the Australian Academy of Newborn Photography. As a small business registered and operating in Queensland, Australia my business is fully insured, we take our client safety very seriously.
Style: Look for a photographer whose style you love and whose portfolio resonates with you. Some photographers specialise in a more posed and stylized look, while others focus on natural and candid images. We love posing our newborns, its such a beautiful art in itself, the way your baby's body works. Babies love being posed in womb like positions as this is exactly how they were inside Mumma. Warm and snug is how they like it! Did you know, babies can hear inside the womb! they can hear Mum and dads voices from the outside, and theycan hear mums heart beat, we usually play some white noise in studio to help soothe your baby. We also take the opportunity to grab a few candid shots if we can, especially when siblings join in the fun!
Experience: Look for a photographer who has experience with newborns and knows how to handle them. Newborns require special care and attention, and an experienced photographer will be able to create a comfortable and safe environment for your baby. Babies don't come with instruction manuals, but that does not mean they do not require the utmost care! Your baby is the most precious little being in your family, and we will always make sure you and your family are comfortable. From experience,we know that all babies are different, there is no magic technique that works with every baby. In studio, we will follow your babies cues the whole way through.

You have hired me to do create beautiful artwork for your family and home, and I will make sure it is done in its entirety.

Newborn photography sessions can be intimate and emotional, so it's important to feel comfortable with the person who will be capturing these special moments. Our newborn sessions can lasts anywhere between 2-4hours, It's important for you to get to know me, and vice versa! Hence why In-studio consultations are always welcome!
